Aalborg Boldspilklub
Aalborg Boldspilklub, known as AaB for short, is a Danish sports club based in Aalborg, Denmark's fourth largest city. The club was founded in 1885, originally as the Aalborg Cricket Club (Aalborg Cricketklub) by English engineers who were building Jutland's railway system. Today the club plays football, ice hockey, and handball. The football division has been one of the better clubs in the Danish Superliga the past 10 years, with two championships, in 1995 and 1999.
The topsponsor is the regional bank, Spar Nord. The clothsponsor is Hummel.
The clubs' stadium, the Aalborg Stadion, (capacity 16,000), opened in 1920.
AaB won the Danish Cup in 1966 and 1970.
